The weekly Edge Pledge update is here. Welcome to Edge Pledge TV episode 31 where we take you deep into the world of a wildlife-fundraising platform and we unpack all we are doing as we try to end extinction with you and have some laughs along the way.

  1. > 20 Schools signed up We have 21 Schools and 1 Scouts group ready for March for the Edge Pledge 50/50 program.

This is great news and 20 was our target for the pilot. We would love to have more schools signed up, so please do let us know if this is of interest.

Thanks again to Landcare Australia for their support in helping us get this schools pilot off the ground

  1. Kids Teaching Kids I had the chance to chat with the gang at Kids Teaching Kids during the week.

They are focused on inspiring the next generation of environment leaders. We love that idea as well. So we are working on how we can support them to support their young leaders to utilise Edge Pledge to support fellow students to take on a challenge and spread some fun facts about the environment.

  1. Big corporate might be on board We have had word from one of our great environment organisations that a big-time corporate is in love with the concept of Edge Pledge and will be looking to do something in the new year. We want to see their CEO take on a challenge, their staff voting for that challenge, a few staff taking on challenges and even teams across the business challenging each other. We know this is a great way for companies to do good, have some fun and get the boss showing some light heartedness.

If you know a company who is looking to do good in the community, please point them our way.

  1. Other institutions who might be interested We have reached out to a bunch of education and outdoor and children-focused organisations on Facebook to see if we can help them.

We would love your ideas on what other organisations have the need to get kids educated in environment issues - we think we could really help them.

  1. Merry Christmas Have a great Christmas everyone. We hope you get some time off and some time enjoying Australia’s nature. We have it pretty good in this country, so go and enjoy.
